PENTECOST SUNDAY: THE UNIVERSALITY OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST (WIND, FIRE AND WATER)
Just as Jehovah revealed Himself to Moses at mount Sinai in the wind and in the fire (Ex.19:18), so He revealed Himself on the day of Pentecost: first there was a rushing wind, then a clove of fire on them (Acts 2:2-3). At Sinai, God established His covenant with Israel but at Pentecost, His covenant was extended to the whole world. At Sinai, Moses spoke just one language to deliver the covenant but at pentecost, the Apostles spoke different languages to deliver the covenant. Just one gospel of salvation, but delivered in different languages; so that it will be fulfilled when it is said; "for He has purchased us for God by His blood, from every kindred, languages, people and tongues to be Priest and Kings..."
