The Model of Cain

  For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him ? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. (1 John 3:11-12|KJV- It is the law of God that we should love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our strength, secondly is that we should love our neighbors just as ourselves. This is the model of Christ.  Cain took from his father the devil which Apostle John in our passage described as the wicked one. He claimed Abel to be his brother and neighbor but lacked the brotherly love that was preached from the beginning.  In chapter 4 of Genesis, he appeared before the Lord with Abel to offer sacrifice, but due to the fact that He is of that wicked one, his sacrifice was rejected but Abel's own was accepted because he is of the righteous one. THE DAY OF VENGEANCE

 The day of Vengeance of our God is the second phase of Jesus ministry as we saw from our text in isaiah 61:1-2. The acceptable year of the Lord will end upon Rapture and immediately the saints of God are taken out of this wicked world, the day of vengeance of our God will begin. That day will begin with the revelation of the antichrist who will be given power to afflict the earth and its inhabitants for a period of three and half years.
