The Feast day of Epiphany

 

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29|KJV-

In the feast day of Epiphany, Christian people everywhere behold the true identity of Jesus Christ as the saviour of the whole world. Though we knew Him as a babe born to Mary and Joseph but as we watch Him grew, we began to see the manifestation of God in Him.

The term Epiphany means manifestation or revealing; the feast day captures 3 great occasions in the bible where Jesus was revealed to the Gentiles (Visit of the Magi, Matt. 2:1-12), where He was revealed to Israel (His Baptism at River Jordan, John 1:29-34) and where He was revealed to the entire world at the wedding feast in Cana.

The 3 wise men saw His star from the east and travel all the way to worship Him. They represented we the gentiles, we all became Christians today because we heard the gospel that was brought to us by the white men, and it is only the wise among us that heard the gospel and believed. The manifestation of Jesus among the gentiles is only to the wise and revelated believers. For you to be where Jesus is, you must be wise to follow the star which is the word of God.

Everyone in the east then did not see the star, but the 3 wise men that it appeared to. It's my prayers that the grace that brings salvation appears to you this day in the mighty name of Jesus! To lead you to the path of righteousness and land you safe before our Lord and King Jesus Christ. 

Secondly, the Baptism of Jesus at Jordan was a sign to reveal Christ as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, but its quite unfortunate (to our own reasoning) and prefect will of God that Israel rejected that Lamb of sacrifice provided by God and continue till this day in sacrifice of Bull and Ram.

Apostle Paul called it blindness in part (Rom.11:25), God deliberately allowed them not to recognize Christ as their saviour when He was introduced or revealed to them by John the Baptist so that the Gentiles will enter the Kingdom before them, then He will open their eyes to whom that Jesus is. Because of the promise God made to their father Abraham, He will save all Israel but only the 3 wise men among the gentiles to whom the star appears will be saved. I pray you be among that 3 in the name of Jesus Christ.

Finally, His manifestation at Cana is His manifestation to the whole world, this is when He will overthrow the government of this age and establish a finer and sweeter Kingdom. Remember how He disgraced the organizers of the wedding feast and introduced a sweeter and finer wine that was preferred than the formal, so He will overtake the government of this world and establish His reign of peace, may you be in that feast on that day in Jesus name! Oh! What a great feast it shall be on that day when our Lord and King will establish a Kingdom that will be most preferred to this one we are in. May we all be at His service on that beautiful day just as His disciples were ready to carry His orders.

Dear beloved in Christ, this is the Mystery that has been given to us and as we remember those events, it glad our heart of the wondrous plans God has revealed to us through Christ Jesus, that the suffering of this present age is nothing compared to the Joy that awaits us in Christ Jesus. May the Lord count you worthy of the wise men that will visit Him in glory and reign with Him eternally, may He find you worthy to reign side by side with Him in the Millennium through Jesus Christ our Lord.
