RAPTURE WATCH

 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. (Mark 13:35-37|KJV-

I have encountered alot of Christian people who told me that there is nothing scriptural about the Rapture. They deny in totality the second coming of Jesus Christ which is even believed among the Muslim and so many other faith. 

What is Rapture?

Rapture is the end of this present age: it is a day when God's grace will be taken away from the earth given room for the antichrist to take over.

Rapture will mark the end of salvation for the gentile believers and the return of the gospel to the Jews for their own salvation. 

Rapture is the catching away of believers in Christ Jesus both dead and alive to meet with the Lord in the cloud.

When will Rapture take place?

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (Matthew 24:36|KJV-

Jesus made it clear that no one knows the day and time this event will take place. Rapture is a certainty that only God knows when it will take place so let no one deceive you regarding the day and hour the Lord will return. 

How can we prepare for Rapture?

Since the knowledge of the day and hour is not given to us, it is our duty to watch upon the signs so we will not be caught unaware. The following are ways we can watch and prepare for the coming of the Lord:

1. Believe in Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is coming to take only those that believe in Him: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:16|KJV-

The whole duty of man is to believe in Jesus Christ and demonstrate same in the water of baptism. You have no business with Rapture if you did not believe in the only son of God.

2. Depart from Inequity 

Inequity happens after you have come to the knowledge of the truth and yet still join others to do contrary to the truth. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (2 Timothy 2:19|KJV-

After we have believed in Jesus Christ, God expects us to depart from sin; therefore anyone claim to be of Christ and still derive pleasure in sin is not yet ready for the second coming of the Lord. 

3. Obedience to the will of God 

Nothing is as important as obeying God's commandments. If you cannot obey God now that you are on earth, what makes you think you can obey Him in His glory? 

But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. (Matthew 12:48-50|KJV-

You have no business with the second coming of Christ if you are not in His will; the will of God must be done on earth as it is in heaven and if you can't do His will on earth now, what makes you think you can do it in His glory?

Heavenly Father and Lord of all, thank You for the grace You have given us to know of the plans You have for us, thank You for hiding this mystery from the wise and has revealed it to babes; continue to grant us understanding to Your word that through it we shall save ourselves and them that hear, through Jesus Christ our soon coming Lord! Amen
