Parable of the Cancelled Debts and Lessons

Luke 7:41-43 [Darby]There were two debtors of a certain creditor: one owed five hundred denarii and the other fifty;42 [Darby]but as they had nothing to pay, he forgave both of them [their debt]: [say,] which of them therefore will love him most?43 [Darby]And Simon answering said, I suppose he to whom he forgave the most. And he said to him, Thou hast rightly judged.

Lessons from the Parable

No matter how much your debt (sin) is, the very moment you turn to the Lord and acknowledge that you cannot help yourself, the Lord is full of love rich in Compassion and He will forgive and forget all our sins.

God is not a man that will cancel your debt and still exploit you, rather He forgives and restores the wasted years lived in ignorance

No matter how big and lofty your sin cannot be, the Lord will surely have compassion and there is no big or small sin before Him.
Love God with all your heart and always seek to do His will, this way His mercy you will employ.

Prayers
Almighty God, thank you because while we were yet sinners, you came and died for us; you through your precious blood redeemed us from the debt of sin and condemnation and purchase us as kings and priests to serve our God. Thank you for this manner of love, cause us to do the same to others through Jesus Christ our Lord!  Amen
