But Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God...(Understanding Christ Kingdom Business)

Mathew 6:33 [KJV]But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

To understand the intentions of Christ towards this particular verse, it's crucial to go back to the last two verses thus:
Matthew 6:31-32
[31]“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’

[32]These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

As human beings here on earth, these are basic questions that runs through our mind daily but as members of Christ divine Kingdom, Jesus admonished us that we should not be occupied by such questions and thoughts because our heavenly Father already knows that we need them.

He went further to assert that these questions dominates the thoughts of unbeliever and the only way we can distinguish ourselves as Children of the Kingdom is to not allow the questions take over us.

It's clear to say that God knows what you need even before you ask of them and He has the means of making them come to you when you align with the condition provided in verse 33. So to be able to get those things as to what to eat, what to drink and what to wear; the first thing is that above those desires, Christ must find in you desire and hunger for the Kingdom of God and a righteous living.

That you must first seek and find the Kingdom of God and live in it through righteousnes, only then will you shift the burden of your needs to God and He will supply all that you need according to His riches in Glory through Christ Jesus. You cannot enjoy these riches and supply from the Father until your appetite change to seeking Christ Kingdom above all things and living righteousness as a life style.

You may wonder why some people serve God and still remains poor, it's simply because they have not seek first the kingdom of God, they can be righteous in living and will certainly make heaven but the matters of Christ Kingdom is not yet number one in their agenda.

What then does it mean to seek first the Kingdom of God? Matthew 13:44-46
[44]“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.
[45]“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls.
[46]When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!

The Kingdom of God is a treasure here on earth, but unlike the man in the first parable, some people discovered this treasure of blessing, long life, peace, joy etc and refuse to give up all their worldly  passion to benefit from it.

Secondly, some people are no longer on the look out for the lost souls just as in the second parable; these days it's everyone for himself, how then can you be a beneficial of Christ riches in glory when the business of the Kingdom which is the business of the lost souls is not a matter of concern to you.

Finally, just as we are expected to live righteous, we must seek and hunger after the lost souls, this is what it means to seek first the Kingdom of God, that you give up all you are and are becoming to see that men are reconciled to God; when you are doing this with all your heart, all you will be needing, the Lord shall provide for you.

Prayers
Faithful God we thank you because yours is the Kingdom, thank you because your Kingdom reigns above all, thank you because no power can stand against you and no man can assault your throne and no one can steal your glory. Oh Lord find in us a burden for the advancement of your Kingdom, make us instruments of soul winning and may our lives be pleasing unto you that at the end you will bless, provides and do exceedingly and abundantly far above all we can ask or imagine by your power which is at work within us. In Jesus Christ name! Amen.
