National Week of Prayers: Day 1, 8 April 2019 (Podcast)

Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our Sins as we for give those who sin against us, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for the Kingdom, the Power, the Glory are all yours now and for ever! Amen.

Good morning beloved people of God, this week of prayer will be focused on our nations, it is time we call upon the name of the LORD over our land and upon our leaders; let's see how the scriptures put it.

1 Timothy 2:1 The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

1 Timothy 2:2 Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation.

I exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men;

 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Bible - 1 Timothy - Chapter 2:1,2,8

So for us to live a peaceable and quite life in our various nations, there is need for men everywhere to pray. Don't just think that things will change by itself, it takes prayers to call forth things to be.

INTERCESSIONS 

Father of peace, as our nations are different so are our desires and troubles, Lord I commend before you our Nation Nigeria, Lord this is a land you bless with everything Good. Thank you for your blessings upon us, thank you for the fact that we still exist among the group of nations, thank you for the unity of Nigeria, even in our unfaithfulness you have remained faithful to us.

Glorious King, look upon our nation with your mercy, let mercy prevail over judgment in Jesus name, cause wickedness, envy, greed, killing and discrimination to cease in Nigeria in Jesus name! Lord from the East to the West we call forth peace, from the North to the South we proclaim the Peace of God, Lord let your Rule begin in Nigeria. 

King of glory, every foundational fault over this nation, we stand this day by the power of the Holy Spirit and we call them to correction in Jesus name! Every Covenant entered on-behalf of Nigeria, Lord by fire we disengage from such Covenant in Jesus name! Lord any cure laid over this nation, Father we ask for your mercy in Jesus name. 

Almighty God, the ruler of all the earth, from this day henceforth we lunch our nations to the realm of greatness, we decree and declare that Nigeria will be a nation to reckon with in the group of nations, we declare that poverty lose its hold over this land, we declare that killing of innocent citizens come to an end over this land. Lord we declare a new beginning over Nigeria; from now henceforth, Nigeria will rise and shine, the season of plentiousness has began, as long as the Lord liveth, planting time and harvest time shall abound in Jesus name! Father we declare Nigeria for Jesus! 

Thank you blessed Redeemer, even for all that have keyed into this prayer and prayed for their nations, may their heart desires over their nations come to pass in Jesus name! Amen.
