...That men will see your Good works...

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Bible KJV - Matthew - Chapter 5:16

We began by saying that every believer in Christ Jesus is a light in this world, we noted that a lot of people especially unbelievers depends on our lives and living as light to see Christ and navigate through Salvation.

Today Christ went a little further to give us insight that it is not just shining as light to show that we are anointed or that we are more holier than others but the main reason why we are to shine is to let men see our good works and in return give all glory to Him.

To let men see your good works is to let men see the manifestation of Christ likeness in you, it is to let men see righteousness, justice and equity in all you do. When men discover Christ through your dealings and attitudes towards them, all the glory then is returned to Him.

For instance you are a student and you sat for exams where everyone failed the course except you, yes you might have done extra reading and burnt night candles but don't project it before men as if it was by your strength and effort that you scaled through but let men know that it is by the grace of God, that there is a God in heaven whom you depend on to give you meat at all session. This will cause men to give glory to God as against self glory.

Jesus Christ was saying in essence that every believer is to bear fruit, not just fruit but good fruits; you can't keep deceiving people that you are a child of God when you don't bear fruits of good works, how then do you bring profit to the Kingdom of God.

As a child of God, we bring profit to our God and unto His Kingdom by allowing men see our good works and channeling all the glory to Him. I want you to ask yourself this question today; how many people has given glory to God through my lifestyle? Remember the 4 Hebrew boys in Babylon, it was through their public stances for the Kingdom of God that brought about the decree that no other gods should be worshipped and prayed to, except the God of Shedrack, Meshack and Abadinego.

How has your life affected people and issues around you? Christ is counting daily on us.

Most righteousness God we bless you and thank you because you are God all by yourself. We appreciate you for your steadfast love towards us even in our unfaithfulness. Father we ask you for the grace to do good works, help us in all our livings that through our lives and dealings men will see you and give all glory to you. Thank you Holy Spirit! In Jesus name! Amen.

Sin is an immoral act considered to be transgression against divine law.(1 John 3:4) Sin according to the scripture is act or omission against God by despising his person and Christian biblical law and by extention to others.
