Simple understanding tells me that you are the only one on the queue.
This is how Jesus introduced Himself to the church! That He is the first and the last! That is to say that He is at the beginning and at last, nothing in life takes Him by surprise, he is the all that is in all.
From this introduction, there is no other option beside Christ, He is the first with no equals and second to non. Nothing is impossible for Him, all you need to do is to believe in Him and trust Him with all your heart with full knowledge that He alone knows your beginning and have already seen the end from the beginning.
Friends, Christ is the true definition of success in life, you can't afford to excuse Him in the affairs of your life. Only Him has the answers to every questions of life because he has walked this earth before and knows even to its newest woes. In all your dealings acknowledge Him and He alone will direct your path.
A life without Christ is in crisis already, life is too vast and deep for you to walk alone. Science and technology alone is insufficient in this journey; if you must be alive and effective to life, you need Christ, He alone is the first and the last, He is too faithful to deny even in our unfaithfulness.
What some called success might no be the true definition of success as far as Christ and His purposes are concern. He alone is the true definition of success, He alone holds the master plan for our life! He has seen its end from the beginning because He is the First and the Last.
Don't excuse God in your affairs, allow Him to light the way! Allow Him to lead the way! Remember; there is a way that seems right in the eyes of a man but the end leads to destruction. Christ is the safest route and the only reliable compass to navigate this earth.
Secondly, Jesus Christ equally introduced Himself as the one who died and lives. Yes! He died on the Cross and God through the blood of His eternal Covenant raised him from the dead.
Infact the bible recorded that it was impossible for death and grave to keep him back and if death and grave is powerless before Him you can walk-through every situation of life if only you believe in Him.
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is enough a track record for confidence to be built in us as believers. No one has ever died and rose again, one of the religious founder once claimed that he will die and rise after 3 days! But to the glory of God and to the shame of the devil, on that faithful third day as he was about to rise, thunder bolted and destroyed him.
Our God is Almighty! No one can stand against Him, no can can assault His throne, no one can steal His Glory! In Heavens and on earth and under the earth there is non like Him. Beside Him there is no other God! He died and now lives and reigns with the Father and His Angels. Glory be to God! Hallelujah!

Jesus did no die by mistake or through an accident. His death was predestined by God and was even prophecy even before His birth. See
Acts 2:23 this Jesus, following the deliberate and well-thought-out plan of God, was betrayed by men who took the law into their own hands, and was handed over to you. And you pinned him to a cross and killed him.
Secondly, through the death of Christ, the light of the gospel was extended to those who died before His coming that they might be partakers of the divine life that Christ alone offers.
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 1 Peter - Chapter 4:6
Therefore it is in the light of this understanding that we believe and have Faith that those who sleeps in the Lord will rise again at the second coming of the Lord and we that are alive will be changed to immortality and forever reign with Him.
PRAYERS
Almighty God our only true God! Thank you for the gift of your Son Jesus Christ whom through Humility bore our sins that we should be called the sons of God! And through His death He became the first born among the dead. Merciful King, grant that we may Know you for who you are that at the end of this age, our mortal body will be quicken to immortality through Him that loves us! JESUS Christ our Lord! Amen.
